Edition 2027
abovergleich Price Consistency Award 2027
34 awards for health insurers that stay cheap over time. Given solely on the basis of federal premium data since 2020. No jury, no entry, no fee.
What is rewarded
It is based on the Price Consistency Rating: price today, how often an insurer has been among the five cheapest in its region since 2020, how much it raises prices, whether new savings models keep their discount, how often it drops tariffs and how strong its reserves are. The overall ranking rewards the three best scores, the categories the best in one aspect each, and in every canton the insurer with the best score in the main region, regional insurers included.
The rules
- Selection follows the numbers alone. There is no jury, no entry and no way to influence an award.
- The award costs nothing and comes with no strings. Whether an insurer uses or links the badge changes neither its score nor its ranking on abovergleich.com.
- A link is not required. The embed code includes one because an award without evidence is worth little. Using the badge without a link is allowed.
- Each edition has a cut-off: the 2027 premiums. The 2027 badge keeps its meaning even if the score changes next year.
- Overall ranking and categories: insurers with at least 50'000 insured persons. In a tie, all win. The score is calculated for four situations (with or without accident cover, deductible 300 or 2'500) and weighted by FOPH enrolment figures.
- “Leanest administration”: total administrative costs per insured person according to the FOPH, latest available year, including what an insurer buys in from a group company.
